Ängelholm Municipality (which in Swedish is Ängelholms kommun) is a local area in southern Sweden. It is part of Scania County in South Sweden. The main town and administrative center of the municipality is the city of Ängelholm.
The municipality was formed in 1971. This happened when the old City of Ängelholm joined with several smaller rural areas. These areas were Ausås, Barkåkra, Hjärnarp, and Munka-Ljungby. Later, in 1974, another small area from Östra Ljungby was added.
For a long time, Ängelholm was home to a big airforce base. This base is now closed. A company that makes very fast cars, called Koenigsegg, has taken over the old air force buildings.
One interesting place to visit is the UFO memorial at Ängelholm. It is a model of a flying saucer. This memorial is located where people say a UFO landed on May 18, 1946.
