Veterans Memorial Park is a big, important park in Bay County, Michigan. It's about 97 acres, which is like 70 football fields! You can find it right next to the Saginaw River in Bay City, Michigan, in the United States. If you look across the river, you'll see another cool park called Wenonah Park.

What Can You Do at Veterans Memorial Park?
Veterans Memorial Park has lots of fun things to do and see. It has a public boat dock, sports fields, a special garden with many trees, an exercise track, and a memorial for war heroes. There's also a Riverwalk that goes all along the river and even further!
Liberty Harbor Marina: A Place for Boats
Liberty Harbor Marina is a public place where boats can dock. It's in Veterans Memorial Park, just north of the Veterans Memorial Bridge. This marina is approved by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. It has 99 spots for boats, a snack stand, and a parking lot for cars.
Kantzler Memorial Arboretum: A Garden of Trees
The Kantzler Memorial Arboretum is a special garden that covers about 12 acres. It's filled with beautiful plants and trees. Different groups from the community help take care of this garden. You can find it along the Saginaw River, close to the Community Center.
Next to the arboretum, there's a 500-foot-long inlet. This area was once used to build ships! It's called the Davidson Dry Dock. A footbridge crosses over the dry dock, connecting to the Riverwalk.
Santa House: Christmas Fun!
The Santa House is a cozy log building. Every December, a group called Santa House Inc. uses it. This is where kids can visit Santa Claus! You'll find it near the main entrance to the park on John F. Kennedy Drive.
Trombley House: A Historic Home
The Trombley House is the very first wooden house built in Bay County. Joseph Tromblé finished building it in 1837. In 1981, the house was moved across the river to the park. The Bay County Historical Society now owns and takes care of this important piece of history.
Fitness Park: Exercise for Everyone
The Fitness Park is an exercise track that opened in 1986. It's special because it has equipment that people with disabilities can easily use. The track loops away from the main Riverwalk and leads you through different areas with exercise stations.
Events at the Park
Veterans Memorial Park is a popular spot for many community events. You can enjoy concerts, the exciting Bay City Fireworks Festival, Pig Gig, River Roar, and Walleyes for Warriors.
