Victor is a small village in Ontario County, New York, United States. It's part of the larger Town of Victor. In 2010, about 2,696 people lived here. The village is located in the southeast part of the town. It is also southeast of the big City of Rochester.

A Look Back at Victor's History
Early Days: Seneca Tribe and French Influence
Long ago, the land where Victor now stands was home to the Seneca tribe. They were a Native American group. In 1687, the French drove the Seneca tribe out of this area.
How Victor Village Grew
For many years, Victor village was not the main community. It competed with another place called Boughton Hill. Eventually, Victor became the most important community in the town. The village officially became a village in 1879.

The village of Victor covers about 1.4 square miles (3.6 square kilometers) of land. There is no water area within the village limits.
Major roads pass through Victor. New York State Route 96 goes right through the village. The village is also south of the New York State Thruway, which is a big highway known as Interstate 90. The northern end of New York State Route 444 is also found in Victor.
