How the Community Started
Vienna Corners began in 1877. It was first a place where people worked with wood. This was called a "lumbering community." They cut down trees and processed timber.
The Train and Post Office
A train station was built here. It was part of the Michigan Central Railroad. This station was called Vienna Junction. Later, a post office opened in Vienna on February 23, 1887. It helped people send and receive mail. The post office stayed open for many years. It closed on December 31, 1913.
