Vikash Rao Dhorasoo (born 10 October 1973) is a French former professional footballer. He played as a midfielder, a player who helps both attack and defense.
Dhorasoo played most of his career with Lyon. He won the Ligue 1 championship twice with them. He also played for Paris Saint-Germain and had a short time at AC Milan in Italy. With AC Milan, he reached the final of the 2005 UEFA Champions League Final.
For his country, Dhorasoo played 18 matches for France. He was part of the team that finished second at the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

Playing for Clubs
Starting His Career
Vikash Dhorasoo was born in Harfleur, France. He started his football journey at Le Havre AC. He played his first match in August 1993. After five years at Le Havre, he joined Olympique Lyonnais in 1998.
He also played for FC Girondins de Bordeaux for a short time. Dhorasoo helped Lyon win the French Ligue 1 championship in 2003 and 2004.
In 2004, Dhorasoo moved to Italy to play for AC Milan. He was a substitute in the 2005 UEFA Champions League Final. Even though his team lost, he still received a runner-up medal.
Time at Paris Saint-Germain

Dhorasoo returned to France in 2005. He signed with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). He helped PSG win the Coupe de France in 2006. He scored a great goal from 25 yards in the final. This goal secured the win against their rivals Marseille.
Later, in 2006, his contract with PSG ended. This happened after he spoke about the team's manager in an interview.
Short Spell at Livorno
On 3 July 2007, Livorno in Italy announced they had signed Dhorasoo. However, his contract was ended in October of the same year. He did not play any games for the club. This was due to disagreements with the team.
Playing for France
Dhorasoo first played for the France national team in March 1999. This was a match against Ukraine. After two games in 1999, he did not play for the national team for five years.
He was called back to the French team in 2004. He then represented France at the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany. France finished second in the tournament.
After the World Cup, Dhorasoo made a documentary called Substitute. It showed his time with the French team during the World Cup. This caused some disagreement with the French Football Federation. Dhorasoo later decided to retire from playing for the national team.
He played 18 matches for France between 1999 and 2006. He scored one goal for his country. This goal helped France secure a spot in the 2006 World Cup.
Life After Football
After retiring from football, Dhorasoo became a football expert. He works for the French sports channel L’Equipe. In 2008, he acted in a movie called La très très grande entreprise.
