Vikter Duplaix was born on October 14, 1969. He is an American artist who sings, writes songs, and produces music. He also plays many instruments and works as a DJ. Vikter grew up in Philadelphia and Augusta, Georgia. He started singing in church choirs when he was young. Later, he worked in a studio in Philadelphia. There, he learned how to create drum tracks for songs.

Music Career

Vikter Duplaix has released his own music. He has also worked with many other famous artists. Some of these include Erykah Badu, Jamiroquai, and Incognito. Working with DJ Jazzy Jeff and Kenny Gamble helped him grow a lot in his music career.

His friendship with King Britt helped him get into dance music. Vikter sang on King Britt's "Scuba" project called 'Swell.' Soon after, Duplaix started making his own music.

He also created remixes and worked with groups like Jazzanova. He even made a special mix album for the DJ Kicks series. All these projects led to his first full album, International Affairs. This album came out in Europe in late 2002. It was released in the United States in early 2003.

His second album, Bold and Beautiful, was released in 2006. A song from this album, "Make A Baby," was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2008. On August 31, 2009, Vikter released a new song called "Electric Love." He offered this song as a free download on his website. In 2012, Duplaix helped put together a collection of songs for singer Bilal. This collection included songs from Bilal's album Love for Sale, which had not been released yet.
