Jamiroquai is a British band famous for its unique mix of funk and acid jazz music. The band was started by a talented singer named Jason Kay. Their name is a cool blend of two words: "Jam session" (like when musicians play together freely) and "Iroquois", which is the name of a Native American tribe.

The band's first song, "When You Gonna Learn?", came out in 1992. This song was very popular. Because of its success, Jamiroquai signed a contract with Sony BMG.

Early Success and Hit Songs

Jamiroquai released their first album, Emergency on Planet Earth, in 1993. The next year, their second album, The Return of the Space Cowboy, became very popular.

In 1996, a song called "Virtual Insanity" was released on their third album, Travelling Without Moving. This song became a huge hit. Its music video was very new and exciting, causing a big stir. Jamiroquai was nominated for 10 MTV Video Music Awards for this song. They won four awards, making the band famous all over the world.

Band Members Over Time

The members of Jamiroquai have changed many times since the band started. However, Jason Kay has always been the lead singer.
