Villalba barrio-pueblo is a special part of Villalba, a town in Puerto Rico. It's like the main downtown area. This is where the local government offices are located. In 2010, about 729 people lived here.
In Puerto Rico, many towns have a central area called a pueblo. This area usually has a main square, the town hall, and a Catholic church. Every year, special festivals called Fiestas patronales are held in the main square.

The Main Square and Church
The main square in Villalba barrio-pueblo is called Plaza de Recreo José Ramón Figueroa. It's named after one of the people who helped start the town. This square is a fun place for events and for people to meet up. It's busy from morning until night.
Long ago, Spanish laws called the Laws of the Indies guided how towns in Puerto Rico were built. These laws said that the main square should be big enough for celebrations. They also said that streets nearby should have covered walkways. These walkways would protect people from the sun and rain.
Right across from the main square in Villalba barrio-pueblo is a Roman Catholic church. It is called Parroquia Nuestra Señora del Carmen.
