The Band's Journey: How It Started
The band Eagle & Hawk began in 1994. It was started by Vince Fontaine and Troy Westwood. Their first album, The Dream, came out in 1997.
Changes in the Band
Troy Westwood left the band in 1997. He was a football player for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. It was hard for him to play football and tour with the band at the same time. After he left, Jay Bodner became the lead singer. Jay stayed with the band for the rest of its history. Even though Troy left, he sometimes came back to play with them as a guest.
Many talented musicians have played with Eagle & Hawk. This includes different keyboard players, bass players, and drummers. The band has released 10 albums during its career.

This project mixed traditional Indigenous music with folk rock. Supernation won Best Pop Album at the Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards that year.
Later Years of the Band
The band's last new album was The Great Unknown in 2010. However, they still played live concerts sometimes. For example, they played a special concert in 2012 to help musician Shingoose after he had a stroke.
Sadly, Vince Fontaine passed away on January 11, 2022. He was 60 years old. His niece, Nahanni Fontaine, shared the sad news.
