Vivian Dsena (born 28 June 1988) is a famous Indian actor and former model. He is well-known for his work in Hindi television shows. Many people consider him one of the most popular actors in India. He has won several awards, including two Indian Television Academy Awards.
Vivian Dsena started his acting career in 2008 with the TV show Kasamh Se. He became very popular for playing Abhay Raichand in the supernatural teen drama Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani (2010–2011). He then became a successful lead actor in shows like Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon (2012–2014) and Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki (2016–2019). He also appeared in reality shows such as Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8 (2015) and Bigg Boss 18 (2024).

About Vivian Dsena's Early Life
Vivian Dsena was born on 28 June 1988 in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, India. His mother is Hindu and his father is Christian. His father's family has European roots, with Portuguese and British ancestors.
Both of his parents were athletes. His mother played basketball, and his father was a professional footballer. They both played for the Western Railway. This inspired Vivian's love for football from a young age.
Vivian has loved football since he was 10 years old. He has played football at a national level and participated in 23 tournaments across India. He is a big fan of the famous footballer David Beckham.
He went to Lokmanya Tilak High School in Mumbai. He also studied for two years at the Bhonsala Military School in Nashik. There, he learned many sports, including horse riding. He also enjoys cooking.
Vivian passed engineering entrance exams but chose to follow his passion for modeling instead.

Starting with Modeling and First Roles
Vivian Dsena began his career after getting a call from the Gladrags Manhunt and Megamodel Contest. He moved to Mumbai to become a model and was among the top 10 finalists in the 2007 contest. He walked the ramp for famous designers. At first, he faced many rejections.
In 2008, he made his TV debut in Kasamh Se on Zee TV. He played Vicky Jai Walia. After that, he appeared in Agnipareeksha Jeevan Ki – Gangaa on Colors TV. In 2010, he played a double role in Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani on Star One TV. He played Abhay Raichand and Abhayendra Singh. This show was one of India's first youth-focused supernatural series. It helped him become a recognized TV actor.
Becoming a Popular Star
In 2012, Vivian Dsena played three different roles in Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon on Colors TV. He played Rishabh Kundra, Keval Ram Kushwaha, and Raja Kushwaha. His acting in this show won him many awards. The show became very popular in India and was shown in over 50 countries.
In 2015, Vivian joined the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8 on Colors TV. He finished in 10th place. In 2016, he participated in the stunt-based reality show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7, filmed in Argentina. He was one of the finalists.
From 2016 to 2019, Vivian played Harman Singh in Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki on Colors TV. This show was very popular and focused on a unique love story. He won awards for this role. The show completed 700 episodes. Vivian left the show in 2019 because he did not want to play a father to an adult character.
From 2021 to 2022, Vivian played Ranveer Oberoi in the romantic drama Sirf Tum on Colors TV. He lost 10 kg for this role. The show had 232 episodes and was considered a success. In 2023, he had a special guest role as Dr. Sartaj Singh Randhawa in Udaariyaan. His appearance greatly boosted the show's viewership.
In 2024, Vivian Dsena was a contestant on Bigg Boss 18. This is the Indian version of the reality show Big Brother. He stayed in the house for 105 days and finished as the first runner-up. He was the highest-paid contestant on Bigg Boss 18. He also appeared on the talk show "Hafta Vasooli" and was a guest on "Laughter Chefs" in 2025.
Vivian Dsena's Personal Life
In 2013, Vivian Dsena married his co-star Vahbbiz Dorabjee from Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani. They separated in 2016 and their divorce was finalized in December 2021.
In 2022, he married Nouran Aly, who is an Egyptian journalist. They have a daughter together. Vivian Dsena converted to Islam in 2019 and practices the Muslim faith. Before this, he was a Christian.
