Vladimir Romanovich Alekno (born December 4, 1966) is a famous Russian volleyball player and coach. He was born in Polotsk.

Alekno started his volleyball journey in 1984 with the SKA Minsk team. He later became a coach for the Russian national volleyball team. He led the team from 2007 to 2008 and again from 2011 to 2012.

Under his coaching, the Russian team achieved great success. They won a gold medal at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games. They also earned a bronze medal at the 2008 Olympics. In 2011, his team won both the World League and the World Cup. In 2020, Alekno was named the head coach for the Iran national volleyball team.
