Segundo Víctor Ibarbo Guerrero (born May 19, 1990) is a Colombian football player. He plays as a winger or forward. Currently, he plays for Inter Palmira.
Víctor started his career at Atlético Nacional in Colombia. In 2011, he moved to Cagliari in Italy. There, he played over 100 games in Serie A, Italy's top football league. He also played on loan for other teams like Roma, Watford, and Panathinaikos.
He has also played for the Colombian national team since 2010. He was part of the teams that reached the quarter-finals in the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the 2015 Copa América. Víctor Ibarbo is also well-known among fans of the EA Sports FIFA video games, especially in FIFA 14 and FIFA 15.

Playing for Clubs
Starting at Atlético Nacional
Víctor Ibarbo was born in Tumaco, Colombia. He began his football journey at Club La Cantera. Later, he joined Atlético Nacional, where he started his professional career. He quickly moved up to the main team.
Ibarbo played his first game for Atlético Nacional on February 21, 2008. He became a regular player in the midfield during the 2008 season. He played 16 games that year.
In 2009, some big clubs like Udinese in Italy were interested in him. He scored his first goal for the club on May 14, 2009. This helped his team win 2–1 against Independiente Medellín. He played 30 games and scored one goal in the 2009 season.
In 2010, Ibarbo started to get more playing time. He helped his team by making six assists in three matches. On May 2, 2010, he scored his first goal of the season. He played 40 games and scored 3 goals that year.
For the 2011 season, Ibarbo changed his jersey number to 8. He helped Atlético Nacional win the 2011 Liga Postobón Apertura title. This was the club's 11th national championship. Before leaving, he played 22 games and scored 2 goals that season.
Moving to Cagliari

On July 4, 2011, Ibarbo moved from Atlético Nacional to Cagliari in Italy. He had almost joined Udinese two years before.
He made his first appearance for Cagliari on the first day of the season. He came in as a substitute in a 2–1 win against Roma. On December 4, 2011, he scored his first goal for the club. This helped Cagliari win 1–0 against Catania. He played in almost every game in his first season. He made 39 appearances and scored 3 goals.
In the 2012–13 season, Ibarbo continued to be an important player. He helped Cagliari win a Coppa Italia match against Pescara. On March 10, 2013, he scored three goals in one game (a hat-trick) against Sampdoria. Cagliari won that game 3–1. He played 34 games and scored 6 goals that season.
Before the 2013–14 season, many big clubs wanted to sign Ibarbo. But he decided to stay with Cagliari. He scored his first goal of the season on September 25, 2013. He played 31 games and scored 4 goals that season.
After playing in the World Cup, Ibarbo signed a new three-year contract with Cagliari in August 2014. He scored his first goal of the 2014–15 season on October 29, 2014.
Loan to A.S. Roma
On February 1, 2015, Ibarbo joined A.S. Roma on loan. This loan was until the end of the 2015–16 season. He made his debut for Roma a few days later in a cup game. He played his first league game for Roma on March 22, 2015. He helped Roma secure a good position in the league.
Loan to Watford
On September 1, 2015, Ibarbo moved to Premier League team Watford on loan. He made his debut for Watford on September 27, 2015. However, he did not play much for the team. He only made four appearances before leaving in January 2016.
Return Loan to Atlético Nacional
After his time at Watford, Ibarbo went back to Atlético Nacional in Colombia. This was his first time playing in Colombia in almost five years. He scored his first goal of this loan spell on June 4, 2016. He helped the team win the Superliga Colombiana and the Copa Libertadores.
Loan to Panathinaikos
On June 30, 2016, Ibarbo joined Panathinaikos in Greece on loan. On August 4, 2016, he scored a goal in a UEFA Europa League match. He scored two more goals in the same competition on October 20, 2016. His loan ended on January 31, 2017. He played 19 games and scored 3 goals for Panathinaikos.
Playing for Sagan Tosu
On March 14, 2017, Ibarbo joined Japanese club Sagan Tosu on loan. He made his debut for Sagan Tosu in the first game of the season. On May 31, 2017, he scored his first goal for the club. His move to Sagan Tosu became permanent in July 2017.
On August 19, 2017, Ibarbo scored two goals in one game for Sagan Tosu. He played 29 games and scored 6 goals in the 2017 season. He was an important player for the team.
In 2018, Ibarbo signed a new contract with Sagan Tosu. He scored his first league goal of the 2018 season on March 10, 2018. He scored another goal on March 31, 2018. He was even named the MVP (Most Valuable Player) for March.

Colombia U20 Team
Ibarbo first played for the Colombia U20 team in 2007. He played six games in the South American U-20 Championship.
Senior Colombia Team
On May 20, 2010, Ibarbo was called up to the senior national team for the first time. He made his international debut on May 27, 2010, against South Africa.
On November 14, 2013, he scored his first goal for the national team. This was in a friendly game against Belgium.
Ibarbo was part of the Colombia team that reached the quarter-finals of the 2014 FIFA World Cup. He started in their first game, a 3–0 win against Greece. He also played in the 2015 Copa América in Chile. Colombia again reached the quarter-finals in that tournament.

Personal Life
Víctor Ibarbo was born in Tumaco, Colombia, but grew up in Cali. His father was an electrician. Víctor has seven brothers.
He is married to Sirley, and they have a son named Martin. In 2016, while in Medellín, some of his jewelry was stolen.
Víctor Ibarbo's agent is Riccardo Calleri. He also considers Zdeněk Zeman, a coach he worked with at Cagliari, like a father figure. Besides Spanish, Ibarbo can also speak English and Italian.
