Where Did the Wadere Live?

The Wadere people lived near the Gulf of Carpentaria. This area is in the northern part of Australia. A researcher named Norman Tindale studied their land. He estimated it was about 2,400 square miles (6,200 km²) big. That's about 6,200 square kilometres (2,400 sq mi)! Their land stretched from Batten Creek to the Limmen Bight River. It also went inland to a place called Barrkuwirriji. This place is also known as the Four Archers. The Wadere shared borders with the Marra. Their border was at a spot called the Valley of Springs.
