Where Did the Wadere Live?
The Wadere people lived near the Gulf of Carpentaria. This area is in the northern part of Australia. A researcher named Norman Tindale studied their land. He estimated it was about 2,400 square miles (6,200 km2) big. That's about 6,200 square kilometres (2,400 sq mi)! Their land stretched from Batten Creek to the Limmen Bight River. It also went inland to a place called Barrkuwirriji. This place is also known as the Four Archers. The Wadere shared borders with the Marra. Their border was at a spot called the Valley of Springs.
