History of Waldron
Waldron was started around the year 1900. The very first post office in Waldron opened its doors in 1902.
Railroad Connections
Between 1901 and 1902, Waldron became an important spot. This was because two different train lines crossed paths there. These lines were the Choctaw Northern Railroad and the Kansas City, Mexico and Orient Railway. Over time, both of these train lines that ran through Waldron were no longer used.
