Warm Springs is a small, charming community in Bath County, Virginia. It is a special area called a census-designated place (CDP). This means it's a place the government counts for population, but it's not an official city or town. Warm Springs is also the county seat of Bath County. This means it's where the main government offices for the county are located.
In 2020, about 121 people lived in Warm Springs. You can find it along U.S. Route 220, right in the middle of Bath County. The area also includes a historic mill town called Germantown. Just to the west, you'll find another small place called West Warm Springs.

Warm Springs grew up around its courthouse and the famous Jefferson Pools. These pools are natural springs with warm water. Many important county offices are located near the courthouse, like the Bath County Health Department and the Sheriff's Department. Historic Landmarks and Fun Places

The Famous Jefferson Pools
The Jefferson Pools are a very old and special part of Warm Springs. People have been visiting these warm, natural springs for hundreds of years. The water in the pools is naturally heated by the earth.
One of the pool houses, called the Gentlemen's Pool House, was built way back in 1761. Even President Thomas Jefferson visited and bathed in these waters! The Ladies' Pool House was built later, in 1836.
During the American Civil War, a soldier named Sam Watkins wrote about his time in Warm Springs. In his book Co Aytch, he mentioned staying here and enjoying the "little past tepid" baths. "Tepid" means slightly warm, so the water was just right for a relaxing soak.
