Belfast Waterfront is a large building in Belfast, Northern Ireland. It is a special place where many different events happen. You can find it in an area called Lanyon Place. Local architects from Robinson McIlwaine designed it.
The building was planned starting in 1989. It was finished in 1997 and cost about £32 million to build. The main part is called the Auditorium. It is round and can seat 2,241 people. Its design was inspired by the Berlin Philharmonic Hall. The seats in the Auditorium can be moved. This helps to create a bigger space for different events. There is also a smaller room called the Studio. It can seat 380 people.
The top of the building has a dome covered in copper. Over time, this copper will turn green. This color will match the dome of Belfast City Hall. It also matches other old buildings in the city center. The Waterfront Hall also has places to eat and drink.
