Wellington Mill is a small place located in the beautiful Ferguson River valley. It's part of the Greater Bunbury sub-region in the South West area of Western Australia.
A Look Back: Wellington Mill's History
The story of Wellington Mill began with timber. In 1881, a timber mill was built here. A few years later, in 1896, the Canning Jarrah Timber Company started a bigger timber mill and even a town.
This new town became the largest private timber town in all of Western Australia at that time. However, the timber mills eventually closed down in 1929. Later, in 1950, a fire sadly destroyed most of the old town.

Discover Gnomesville: A Unique Spot
One of the most famous and fun places to visit near Wellington Mill is Gnomesville! It's a special tourist spot filled with more than 3,000 gnome statues. You can find it right next to where Wellington Mill Road, Wellington-Lowden Road, and Ferguson Road meet.
Gnomesville started in 1995. Some gnomes were placed at the intersection as a playful protest against building a new roundabout there. Since then, many visitors have added their own gnomes, making it a huge and ever-growing collection!
