Most of West Lake Stevens became part of the nearby City of Lake Stevens. This happened because of a community effort that started in 2006. It was called ""One Community Around the Lake"" because people wanted to unite the areas around the lake. The parts that weren't joined became two new CDPs in 2010: Bunk Foss and Cavalero.
