Westlake is a city in Calcasieu Parish, located in western Louisiana, United States. It's part of the larger Lake Charles area. In 2020, about 4,781 people lived there. Westlake became an official city in 1945. The area around Westlake is known for its many chemical plants and oil refineries.

Westlake is found in the east-central part of Calcasieu Parish. It sits on the west side of the Calcasieu River. This river flows into Lake Charles just south of the city.
The city of Lake Charles is right across the river from Westlake. You can cross the river using the Interstate 10 bridge, also known as the Calcasieu River Bridge.
According to official measurements, Westlake covers about 9.60 square kilometers (3.79 square miles) in total. Most of this area is land, with a small part being water.
Nearby communities include Moss Bluff to the northeast. To the west, past the small community of Mossville, you'll find Sulphur.
