The Westons Mill Pond is a special part of the Lawrence Brook river. It's like a big pond or small lake that was created by building a dam. You can find it in the Westons Mills area of East Brunswick, New Jersey, in the United States.
This pond is one of several places along the Lawrence Brook where dams have been built. The main dam that controls the water flowing out of the pond is called the Westons Mill Pond Dam. People can go boating on Westons Mill Pond, but they are not allowed to use boats with gasoline engines. This rule helps protect the many different animals and plants that live in and around the pond.
The Westons Mill Pond Dam
The dam for Westons Mill Pond is located close to Route 18, which is a major road near New Brunswick. The top of the dam is about 16 feet (or 4.9 meters) above sea level.
How to Access the Dam
You can get to the dam by going to Burnet Street, which is also known as Tower Center Boulevard. This is where equipment for keeping the dam in good shape is stored. There is also another, smaller dam a little bit further up the river, but it's not officially part of the main Westons Mill Pond system.
