White Creek begins in the southeastern part of White County, Georgia. Its starting point is north of a place called Mossy Creek and west of Leaf. It starts just north of State Route 115.

The creek flows mostly towards the south-southeast for about 4.7 miles (7.6 kilometers). It crosses over State Route 254 near Mossy Creek. Then, another stream called Flat Creek joins White Creek from the east.

A short distance later, White Creek forms a small body of water known as Webster Lake. After the lake, the creek continues to wind south for about 2 more miles (3.2 kilometers). Finally, White Creek flows into the Chattahoochee River. This meeting point is just northeast of a place called Rogers Mill.

What is a Watershed?

The area of land that drains water into White Creek is called its watershed. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) has given this watershed a special code: HUC 031300010301. It is named the White Creek-Chattahoochee River watershed.

This watershed covers about 15 square miles (39 square kilometers). It is located southeast of Cleveland. It is also north and west of the Chattahoochee River. All the rain and water that falls in this area will eventually flow into White Creek.
