White Horse is located in the northern part of California. It is about 25 miles (40 kilometers) west-northwest of a place called Adin. It is also very close to the Whitehorse Flat Reservoir, which is a body of water. The town of Alturas is about 47 miles (76 kilometers) to the west-southwest.

History of White Horse

White Horse has a connection to the history of trains in the United States. It was once located along a railway line. This line was part of the former Great Northern Railway. It was known as the Hambone Line. This line also connected with another railway called the McCloud River Railroad. Trains were very important for moving goods and people in the past.

White Horse also had its own post office for many years.
