Whitewater Lake is a lake found in the city of Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. The town of Azilda is right next to its eastern side.
This lake is a popular spot for fun activities. People often hold amateur fishing tournaments here. It used to be a place for exciting powerboat racing championships too! Whitewater Lake is also home to the Sudbury/Azilda Water Aerodrome. This is a special place where aircraft that can land on water take off and land. When winter arrives, a small village of ice huts appears on the lake. These huts are near Azilda's Centennial Park, and people use them for ice fishing.
Most of Whitewater Lake is quite shallow, less than 1.5 meters (about 5 feet) deep. This can be tricky for boaters who don't know the lake well. However, its deepest point goes down to 11 meters (about 36 feet).
