What is Why I Am Not a Christian?
This essay started as a talk given by Bertrand Russell on March 6, 1927. He spoke at Battersea Town Hall in South London for the National Secular Society. Later that same year, his talk was published as a small book called a pamphlet. It became very well-known.
The essay was later included in a larger book. This book was titled Why I Am Not a Christian: And Other Essays on Religion and Related Subjects. It collected many of Russell's thoughts on faith and related topics.
