Wichayanee Pearklin (Thai: วิชญาณี เปียกลิ่น), also known as Gam Wichayanee or simply Gam, is a famous Thai singer, actress, and TV host. She was born on September 21, 1989. Many people in Thailand see her as the "Most Admired Female Singer in Modern Thai Music." They also call her the "Female Artist with an Amazing Powerful Voice."

Gam became well-known after winning "The Star" Season 4 in 2008. This was a very popular singing competition in Thailand. She is also famous for being the voice of Elsa in the Thai versions of Disney's animated movies Frozen and Frozen II. She sang the Thai versions of "Let It Go" and "Into the Unknown." Gam is known for her strong voice, great singing skills, and emotional performances. She can sing many types of music, like pop, R&B, and jazz. She also sings in Thai, English, and Korean.

Early Life and Music Journey

Gam was born in 1989 in Phatthalung, Thailand. In 1995, she moved to Phuket to live with her younger sister and her mother, who was a nurse. Gam started singing when she was only three years old!

She won her first singing competition in primary school. By third grade, she was the lead singer of her school's band. She practiced singing difficult Thai country songs to make her voice even better. Her mother often took Gam to many contests, and Gam usually won first place.

Gam went to Satree Phuket School for high school. In 2008, she joined "The Star" Season 4. She won the show and signed a contract with Exact, a music label under GMM Grammy. This is one of the biggest entertainment companies in Thailand. After winning "The Star," she went to Silpakorn University to study music and graduated in 2013.

Gam's Entertainment Career

Gam released her first song, "Kwam Pook Pan Sue Kwam Rak Mai Dai" (which means "Relationship Can't Buy Love"), in May 2008. Her first album, GAM, came out in October 2008. She also sang a song called "Sang Lae Ngao" (Light and Shadow) for a TV drama and received a special award for it.

In 2009, Gam started acting in musical plays. She also voiced Tiana in the Thai version of Disney's animated movie The Princess and the Frog. In 2011, she released her second album, Baby It's You.

A big year for Gam was 2013. She voiced Queen Elsa in the Thai version of Disney's Frozen. She was also chosen by the Thai government to perform for King Bhumibol Adulyadej at the Royal Thai Government House.

In 2015, Gam became a TV host for the first time on a show called See Podum (Four Spades). She has also been a judge and commentator on many singing talent shows. In 2017, she was a contestant on The Mask Singer (Thailand) Season 3.

A very special moment for Gam happened on February 9, 2020. She was invited to perform the song "Into the Unknown" at the 92nd Academy Awards. She sang one line of the song in Thai, alongside Idina Menzel, Aurora, and eight other international voice actresses for Elsa.
