What the Film is About
This film tells the funny and sometimes sad story of a young man. He is called a "remittance man," which means his family in England sends him money. In 1909, he moves to Alberta, Canada, to start a new life. But things don't quite go as planned for him!
How the Film Was Made
Amanda Forbis and Wendy Tilby didn't just write and direct Wild Life. They also drew and painted every single animation frame themselves! They used a special type of paint called guache. They even wrote the words for the song at the end of the film.
Making Wild Life took a long time because they could only work on it part-time. They had other jobs they needed to do. It took them between six and seven years to finish the film, from the first idea to the final movie!
