Steve Irwin, Terri Irwin |
Wildlife Warriors, first called the Steve Irwin Conservation Foundation, is a group that works to protect animals and nature. It was started in 2002 by the famous "Crocodile Hunter," Steve Irwin, and his wife, Terri Irwin. They wanted to teach people and get them involved in helping injured, threatened, or endangered animals. Terri Irwin is still a big part of the organization today, helping to guide its work.

The five endangered animals in the logo are:
- The Cassowary
- The Saltwater crocodile
- The Asian elephant
- The Ethiopian wolf
- The Bornean orangutan
Continuing Steve's Dream
After Steve Irwin passed away in September 2006, many people from all over the world offered their support. They sent donations to help the conservation group continue its important work.
In October 2006, the Wildlife Warriors team shared that they had received a lot of donations. This money helped fund their animal hospital and programs for many months. A special public memorial service for Steve was also turned into a DVD. All the money from selling this DVD went to help the charity keep going.
Steve Irwin's daughter, Bindi Irwin, was nine years old at the time. She became a new public face for Wildlife Warriors, helping to share their message and continue her father's dream of protecting wildlife.
