High School Basketball Journey
Will Hatcher played high school basketball at Carman-Ainsworth High School in Flint, Michigan. In his final year, he was recognized as an All-State Honorable Mention player. He was also chosen twice for the All-First Team Conference. Will was also the team captain.
College Basketball Experience
After high school, Hatcher played college basketball for the Miami RedHawks. He played at Miami University in Ohio from 2002 to 2006. In his last college season (2005–06), Hatcher was picked for the All-MAC Conference First Team. He was also named the MAC's Eastern Division player of the week twice. People also voted him the MAC's "Best All-Around Guard."
Professional Basketball Career
Hatcher started his professional basketball career in 2006. His first contract was with a German team, Dragons Rhöndorf, in the German 2nd Division. After playing in Germany, Hatcher played for teams in many other countries. These included Romania, the Czech Republic, Cyprus, Israel, Greece, France, Belgium, and Serbia.
On October 8, 2015, he signed a contract with his former team, PAOK, in Greece. On August 1, 2016, he signed a one-year contract with the Serbian team Partizan.
On June 11, 2017, Hatcher joined the Italian club Dinamo Sassari.
On August 6, 2018, Hatcher returned to the Greek team PAOK Thessaloniki for the third time. The next season, he moved to Peristeri, another Greek team.
On November 27, 2020, he joined Iraklis of the Greek Basket League.
Family Life
Will Hatcher's cousin, Charlie Bell, also played college basketball. Charlie played for the Michigan State Spartans at Michigan State. He also played in the NBA. Charlie played for teams like the Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks, Milwaukee Bucks, and the Golden State Warriors.
