Will E. Redmond (born December 28, 1993) is an American former professional football player. He played as a safety. Will played college football for Mississippi State. He was chosen by the San Francisco 49ers in the third round of the 2016 NFL draft. Redmond also played for the Kansas City Chiefs, Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis Colts, and Houston Texans.

Early Life and High School Football
Will Redmond first went to Manassas High School in Memphis, Tennessee. He was the starting quarterback for the Tigers team. This team was featured in the movie Undefeated, which won an Oscar.
Later, Redmond moved to East High School in Memphis. There, he played both offense and defense, and also on special teams. Experts who scouted young players thought he was a very good player. He received offers to play for many top college teams.
On August 1, 2011, Redmond decided to play for Mississippi State. He officially signed with them in February of the next year.
College Football Career
When Redmond was recruited to Mississippi State, there were some issues. Rules were broken during his recruitment. Because of this, the NCAA said Redmond could not play for the 2012 season. He also missed the first five games of the 2013 season.
Redmond played his first college game in October 2013 against Bowling Green. That season, he made 23 tackles as a backup defensive player.
In 2014, Redmond played in every game for the Bulldogs. He made a game-winning interception in the end zone against LSU. This helped his team win 34–29. A few weeks later, he did it again with another end zone interception. This helped Mississippi State beat Arkansas 17–10. He finished the season with 51 tackles and three interceptions.
On October 22, 2015, Redmond got a serious injury. He tore his ACL during practice. This happened after he had played in seven games that season. He finished 2015 with 25 tackles and two interceptions.

Professional Football Career
Before the NFL Draft
Before the 2016 NFL draft, many experts thought Redmond would be one of the best cornerbacks available. Some even thought he could be picked in the first round. They noted his "excellent quickness and agility," which helped him cover players well.

San Francisco 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers chose Will Redmond in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He was the 68th player picked overall.
However, his rookie season ended before it began. On September 5, 2016, he was placed on injured reserve because of a knee injury.
In 2017, Redmond was again placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury. He was later released by the 49ers on October 31.
Kansas City Chiefs
On November 9, 2017, Redmond joined the Kansas City Chiefs' practice squad. He signed a contract to stay with the Chiefs for the next season on January 10, 2018.
However, the Chiefs released him on September 1, 2018.
Green Bay Packers
On September 11, 2018, Redmond was signed to the Green Bay Packers' practice squad. He was moved to the main team on November 6. On December 22, he was placed on injured reserve with a shoulder injury.
Redmond re-signed with the Packers on March 27, 2020, and again on April 2, 2021.
He was placed on injured reserve with a toe injury on August 24, 2021. The Packers released him from injured reserve on November 22.
Indianapolis Colts
On December 15, 2021, Redmond joined the Indianapolis Colts' practice squad. He signed a contract for the next season on January 10, 2022.
On August 30, 2022, the Colts released Redmond. He was signed back to their practice squad the next day, but was released again on September 13.
Houston Texans
On November 15, 2022, Redmond signed with the practice squad of the Houston Texans.
