Will Smith is a famous American actor, rapper, and movie producer. He became very well-known when he starred as a fun, fictional version of himself in the 1990s TV show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. This role made him famous around the world and earned him two nominations for a Golden Globe Award. He also helped produce some episodes of the show.

After his TV success, Will Smith started acting in movies. His first film was Where the Day Takes You in 1992. In 1995, he teamed up with Martin Lawrence for the action movie Bad Boys. The next year, he starred in the huge science fiction hit Independence Day, which made over $817 million worldwide! In 1997, he became Agent J in the popular science fiction film Men in Black. He played this role again in two sequels, Men in Black II (2002) and Men in Black 3 (2012).

Will Smith has played many different characters. He played the famous boxer Muhammad Ali in the 2001 movie Ali, which earned him an Academy Award for Best Actor nomination. He also voiced a character in the animated film Shark Tale and starred in the science fiction movie I, Robot in 2004. In 2005, he was a dating expert in the romantic comedy Hitch.

One of his most inspiring roles was Chris Gardner in The Pursuit of Happyness (2006), which also got him an Oscar nomination. In 2008, he played a superhero in Hancock. Even though the movie got mixed reviews, it made over $624 million globally. Later, he played a doctor named Bennet Omalu in Concussion (2015) and was part of the superhero team in Suicide Squad (2016).

In 2019, Will Smith took on the magical role of the Genie in the live-action movie Aladdin. This movie became his highest-earning film, making over $1 billion worldwide! In 2022, he won his first Academy Award for Best Actor for playing tennis coach Richard Williams in the movie King Richard.
