The Exciting Story of Spies in Disguise

Lance Sterling is a very confident secret agent for an agency called H.T.U.V. This stands for Honor, Trust, Unity, and Valor. He is sent to Japan to get back a dangerous drone from an arms dealer named Katsu Kimura. A cybernetic terrorist named Killian arrives to buy the drone. Lance goes in even though his boss, Joy Jenkins, told him not to. He beats Kimura's group and escapes with a briefcase that should have the drone.

Lance returns to H.T.U.V. headquarters. He is upset with Walter Beckett, a very smart but a bit awkward young scientist. Walter makes non-deadly gadgets for Lance's spy suit. Walter tries to tell Lance about a peaceful way to save the world. He also wants to explain his newest invention, "biodynamic concealment." But Lance fires him before he can finish.

Lance then finds out the briefcase is empty! Marcy Kappel, an agent who checks on other agents, shows him a video. The video shows Lance (who is actually Killian in disguise) leaving with the drone. This makes everyone think Lance is a traitor. Lance escapes from H.T.U.V. and decides to find Walter for help. Meanwhile, Killian breaks into the H.T.U.V. weapons building.

While looking for Walter's invention at his house, Lance accidentally drinks a special liquid. He then turns into a pigeon! Walter calls this "chromothripsis." Before Walter can make an antidote to change Lance back, Marcy and other H.T.U.V. agents chase them. But they escape in Lance's spy car.

The two track down Kimura to a resort in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. There, they learn that Killian is in Venice, Italy. They have to leave quickly before Marcy and the H.T.U.V. catch them again. On their way to Venice, Walter tries to make the antidote, but it doesn't work.

When they arrive in Venice, the H.T.U.V. finds Walter. They don't know Lance is a pigeon. Marcy tells Walter she knows about his mother, Wendy, who was a police officer and died while working. Marcy tries to get Walter to help turn Lance in, but Walter refuses. Suddenly, a drone distracts the H.T.U.V., letting Walter and Lance escape.

They discover the drone is carrying the H.T.U.V. agent database. Walter manages to get it. But Killian shows up, takes the database, and tries to hurt Walter. With help from many pigeons nearby, they distract Killian and get away. Killian, disguised as Lance again, escapes the H.T.U.V. This makes Marcy doubt that Lance is the traitor, as she sees "Lance" with a robot hand.

Inside a submarine underwater, Walter reveals he put a tracker on Killian. He finds Killian at the weapons facility. Walter finally perfects the antidote and successfully turns Lance back into a human. They reach Killian's hideout. Lance worries about Walter's safety and sends him away in the submarine.

Inside the hideout, Lance confronts Killian. But Killian knocks him out and captures him. Killian reveals he has made hundreds of drones. He plans to use the agent database to target everyone at the agency. This is his revenge for Lance killing his team on a past mission. Killian sees Walter returning in the submarine and destroys it. But Walter survives thanks to one of his inventions, the inflatable hug!

Walter frees Lance, and they escape. They contact Marcy for help as the drones head towards H.T.U.V. headquarters in Washington D.C. Walter tries to hack into Killian's bionic arm. When Killian realizes this, he tries to fly away with a drone, but Walter catches up. Walter risks his life by trapping Killian in the inflatable hug. He deactivates the villain's arm as he falls. But Lance, who has turned himself back into a pigeon, flies for the first time! He carries Walter to safety with help from other pigeons. Killian is found and arrested.

Even though they saved the world, Lance (back in human form) and Walter are almost fired for not following orders. But they are quickly hired back by the H.T.U.V. The agency realizes they can learn from Walter's peaceful ways of dealing with bad guys.

Will There Be a Sequel?

In 2021, the directors, Troy Quane and Nick Bruno, talked about continuing the story. They thought it could be like a "Star Trek" themed world. Both Will Smith and Tom Holland said they would love to work together again. They also want to see their characters go on more adventures. Quane mentioned that if the movie gets even more popular, they would probably talk about making a sequel.
