Playing for Clubs
Willi Giesemann started his football journey in youth teams like TSV Sülfeld and VfL Wolfsburg. He then played for VfL Wolfsburg as a professional from 1956 to 1959.
After that, he joined Bayern Munich from 1959 to 1963. In 1963, a new top league called the Bundesliga started in Germany. Willi Giesemann became a key player for Hamburger SV. He played 104 matches in this league for them until 1968. Later in his career, he played for HSV Barmbek-Uhlenhorst until 1972.
