His Education and Early Life
William H. Chapman Nyaho went to the Achimota School in Achimota, Ghana. There, he learned to play the piano from John Barham. He then studied music at several universities. He earned degrees from St Peter's College at Oxford University, the Eastman School of Music, and the University of Texas at Austin. He also studied music in Switzerland at the Conservatoire de Musique de Genève.
His Career as a Musician and Teacher
Mr. Chapman Nyaho has taught music at many colleges. These include the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Colby College, Pomona College, and Willamette University. Today, he teaches at Pacific Lutheran University. He also teaches at the Interlochen Arts Academy Summer Camp. He gives private lessons and performs piano concerts. He also leads masterclasses and workshops for other musicians in many countries.

William H. Chapman Nyaho plays music by many different composers. He focuses on music from Africa and the African diaspora.
