Who Was William Morris?
William Morris (1834–1896) lived a long time ago, during the Victorian period in Britain. He was incredibly talented and did many things. He designed beautiful patterns for wallpapers and fabrics. He was also a skilled artist, a writer who created many books, and a socialist. Being a socialist meant he believed in fairness for everyone and wanted to improve society for working people. The Society helps people learn about all these parts of his life and the people he worked with.
