William Thomson Newnham (born February 7, 1923 – died August 23, 2014) was an important Canadian educator. An educator is someone who teaches or helps manage schools. He is best known as the very first president of Seneca College. He led the college from 1967 until 1984.

William Newnham's Early Life

William Newnham was born in a place called Shallow Lake, Ontario. This was in the province of Ontario, Canada.

Serving His Country

When he was older, William Newnham joined the Royal Canadian Air Force. He served during a very big war called World War II. After the war ended, he decided to go to university.
