Williamsfield is a small village located in Knox County, Illinois, in the United States. In 2010, about 578 people lived there. It is part of the Galesburg area, which is a group of towns connected by their economy.

A Look Back in Time
Williamsfield was planned and built in 1888 by a person named E.B. Purcell. Soon after, a post office was opened in the village. The village is believed to be named after a contractor who worked for the Santa Fe Railroad. His last name was Williams.
Where is Williamsfield?
Williamsfield is found in the eastern part of Knox County. It is about 21 miles (34 km) east of Galesburg, which is the main city of the county. Illinois Route 180 runs along the east side of the village. This road goes north for 18 miles (29 km) to Galva and south for 1.5 miles (2.4 km) to U.S. Route 150.
