Starting in Brazil
In 2003, Willian signed a new three-year contract with a Brazilian club called Atlético Paranaense. This showed that the club believed in his talent.
A couple of years later, in 2005, he moved to another club in Rio de Janeiro, America. Later that year, he joined Vasco da Gama for a short time. He even played his first top-league game, called Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, for Vasco.
In mid-2006, Willian moved to Botafogo. He continued to play for different teams, gaining experience.
Playing Abroad
In January 2007, Willian had a chance to play in Japan. He was loaned to a Japanese club called Vegalta Sendai. He wore the number 11 jersey there. However, his time in Japan was short, and he left the club in July of the same year.

Back to Brazil
Willian returned to Brazil in 2010. He signed a two-year contract with Santo André. During his time there, he unfortunately broke his leg in a game against Guaratinguetá. The player who caused the injury was suspended for a long time.
After recovering, Willian continued his career in Brazil, playing for clubs like Botafogo (SP). He officially retired from playing professional football after a long and interesting career.
