Willisburg is a small city in Washington County, Kentucky, United States. It is a "home rule-class city," which means it has the power to manage its own local government. In 2020, about 300 people lived there. Willisburg is also known as the exact middle point of Kentucky's population.

History
Willisburg was started in 1838. It was named after Captain Henry Willis, who was a soldier in the American Revolutionary War, fighting for America's independence.
The city grew bigger in the 1870s. At that time, it became an important meeting point where two main roads, called turnpikes, crossed. Willisburg officially became a city in 1965.
Geography
Willisburg is mainly located along Kentucky Route 433, which is also known as Main Street. This road crosses with Kentucky Route 53. The city is west of Harrodsburg and northeast of Springfield.
Just northwest of the city is Willisburg Lake. This lake was created in the late 1960s by building a dam on Lick Creek.
The city covers a total area of about 0.70 square miles (1.80 square kilometers). Almost all of this area is land.
