According to the 2010 census, Willisville has a total area of 0.39 square miles (1.01 km2), all land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 694 people, 270 households, and 194 families residing in the village. The population density was 1,840.4 people per square mile (705.1/km²). There were 295 housing units at an average density of 782.3 per square mile (299.7/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 99.57% White, 0.14% Native American, and 0.29% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.86% of the population.
There were 270 households out of which 36.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.3% were married couples living together, 13.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.1% were non-families. 24.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.57 and the average family size was 3.04.

In the early 1990s local coal mines closed resulting in major job loses for the region.
