Wilshire Heights is a neighborhood in eastern Dallas, Texas in the USA. It is a place where many people live.
This neighborhood is located right next to several other areas in East Dallas. These include Lakewood, Stonewall Terrace, Lakewood Heights, and Caruth Terrace.
Wilshire Heights has clear boundaries. To the east, it is bordered by Abrams Street. East Mockingbird Lane is to the north. Skillman Street forms its western edge, and Mercedes Avenue is to the south.
Education in Wilshire Heights
Kids living in Wilshire Heights go to schools within the Dallas Independent School District. A school district is a group of public schools in a specific area.
Public Schools for Residents
Students in Wilshire Heights are assigned to specific public schools based on where they live. This is called being "zoned to" a school. The schools they attend are:

The school has two main parts. The "upper school," which teaches grades 3-8, is located right in Wilshire Heights. The "lower school," for younger students from Pre-Kindergarten to 2nd grade, is in the nearby Caruth Terrace neighborhood. In 2011, the church that runs the school bought more land next to the upper school. This land was about 2.68 acres (or 1.08 hectares) in size.
