Education in Wiota
The schools in Wiota are part of the CAM Community School District. Before 2011, Wiota was part of the Anita Community School District. The Anita district joined with CAM on July 1, 2011.
Wiota joined the Anita school district in 1961. For many years, their school colors were blue and white. Their sports teams were known as the Little Giants. In the 1940s and 1950s, they were called The Blue Racers. In their last five years, their colors were black and white, and they were known as the Panthers.
Wiota schools had successful sports teams. They won the Iowa State Baseball championship in 1944. The Iowa Women's State Basketball team won championships in both 1944 and 1945.
