Nordic Valley is a fun ski area located in Nordic Valley, Utah. It was once known as Wolf Creek Utah Ski Resort. This name changed back to Nordic Valley on June 29, 2005. This happened when a nearby golf resort bought the ski area.
Many people love Nordic Valley because its tickets are not expensive. It is also a great place for kids to learn how to ski or snowboard. Some even say it has the "least expensive skiing and riding in Utah."

Exploring the Mountain at Nordic Valley
Nordic Valley, also called Wolf Mountain, has different slopes for all skill levels. On one side, there is a big gentle slope perfect for beginners. On the other side, you will find steeper and longer runs for more experienced skiers. A special area called a terrain park is located between these two parts.
Ski Lifts and How They Help
To get up the mountain, skiers use different lifts. The Wolfdeedo Chair is a short double chairlift. The Wolf's Lair Triple Chair is a newer, longer lift. Both of these lifts take you to the beginner slope and the Wolf's Lair Terrain Park.
The Howling Wolf Chair is a longer double chairlift. It has a stop halfway up the mountain. This lift gives you the best access to most of the ski runs. It also reaches the beginner slope and terrain park. For very new skiers, there is a short surface lift called the Magic Carpet. It helps beginners get started easily.
New Features and Fun Areas
The Wolf's Lair Triple Chair made the beginner slope much bigger. It also doubled the size of the Wolf's Lair Terrain Park. This park is a place where skiers and snowboarders can do tricks. The triple chair also makes it easier to reach the trees north of the terrain park.
Snow and Night Skiing
You can ski at Nordic Valley even after the sun goes down! The whole mountain has lights for night skiing. This means you can enjoy the slopes for longer. The resort also uses snowmaking machines to cover most of its runs.
In 2006, the snowmaking system was made much better. This helped the resort have reliable snow every year. Even though Nordic Valley is not very high up, the snowmaking helps it stay open for several months.
The Nordic Valley Community
Even though the ski resort changed its name, many local people still call the area "Nordic Valley." You can learn more about the community at Nordic Valley, Utah.
