The Wooden Spoons Museum (Romanian: Muzeul Lingurilor de Lemn), also known as the Ion Țugui Spoon Museum, is a special museum located in Câmpulung Moldovenesc, a town in Suceava County, Romania. This unique museum is set up in the very house where a history professor named Ion Țugui used to live. Today, his family, the Mateescus, takes care of the museum.
The main attraction here is a huge collection of wooden spoons. Professor Țugui spent a lot of time studying and organizing these spoons. Many of them come from different parts of Romania, especially the Bukovina region. But you'll also find spoons from all over the world!

What You'll See at the Museum
The museum displays its spoons in a neat way. About ten spoons are placed on each stand. Each spoon has a label that tells you its age, where it came from, and sometimes even who owned it.
Spoons from Around the World
You might be surprised to see spoons from faraway places like Japan, Madagascar, Pakistan, Tanzania, and the United States. Many of these international spoons were given to the museum by tourists from other countries. Some were even traded for Romanian spoons by Professor Țugui himself!
More Than Just Spoons
While wooden spoons are the main focus, the museum has other interesting collections too. You can also find ladles, a collection of over 500 erasers, different ceramic objects, and old coins.
A World Record Collection
This museum is truly special because it holds a world record! According to the World Record Academy, the Wooden Spoons Museum has the largest collection of wooden spoons on Earth.
How Many Spoons?
It's hard to say exactly how many spoons Professor Țugui collected and are now on display. Estimates vary, but people believe there are anywhere from 3,500 to over 6,000 spoons in the museum! That's a lot of spoons!
