Woodlawn was created from parts of the Mount Vernon area. It stretches from Fort Belvoir in the west to Little Hunting Creek. It follows U.S. Route 1 on its southern side. To the north, you'll find Huntley Meadows Park.
The historic Woodlawn Plantation is located in the southwest part of the area. The Fairfax County Park Authority also manages local parks here. These parks offer fun places for people to play and relax.
