According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 12.5 square miles (32.3 km²), of which, 12.4 square miles (32.2 km²) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 km²) of it (0.24%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 4,502 people, 1,518 households, and 1,243 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 362.3 people per square mile (139.8/km²). There were 1,578 housing units at an average density of 127.0/sq mi (49.0/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 93.80% White, 0.13% African American, 0.56% Native American, 0.71% Asian, 0.22% Pacific Islander, 2.40% from other races, and 2.18% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 4.60% of the population.
There were 1,518 households out of which 41.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 70.4% were married couples living together, 7.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 18.1% were non-families. 13.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 3.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.97 and the average family size was 3.25.
