Worden is located about seven miles west of Baldwin City. It's also nine miles east of Overbrook. You can find it along U.S. Highway 56.
History of Worden
Worden once had its own post office. This post office was open for 20 years. It served the community from 1884 until 1904.

In 2010, a big decision was made about local schools. On December 13, 2010, the school board voted to close two elementary schools. These schools were Vinland Elementary in Vinland, Kansas, and Marion Springs Elementary in Worden, Kansas. The vote was 5 to 2 in favor of closing them.
