Worsley Old Hall is a historic building in Worsley, Greater Manchester, England. Today, it is a popular place where people can eat and drink. It is a very special building, listed as a Grade II listed building. This means it's an important old building that the government helps to protect.

History of Worsley Old Hall
The building you see today is very old. It was built around the 1500s or early 1600s. At first, it was made mostly of wood. Later, it was rebuilt using bricks.
Over the years, the hall has been changed and added to many times.
- In the 1700s, more parts were added.
- Around 1855, a big extension was built on the east side.
- More work was done in 1891.
- In 1905, a billiard room was built between the wings. This room had a special table for playing billiards.
- A small wing was added in 1906.
During the 1900s, the inside of the hall was changed again. In the 1990s, it was turned into a restaurant.
A Place for Big Ideas
Worsley Old Hall is very important in history. This is because Francis Egerton, the 3rd Duke of Bridgewater, James Brindley, and John Gilbert met here. They planned and watched over the building of the famous Bridgewater Canal. This canal was a huge project that helped transport goods during the Industrial Revolution.
What Worsley Old Hall Looks Like
The building is made of brick, and most of it is covered with a smooth finish. The roofs are made of stone and slate. Some parts that were added in the 1800s still show their original wooden frames.
Worsley Old Hall Today
In 2011, Worsley Old Hall was part of the Brewers Fayre chain, serving as a pub and restaurant. In 2013, the building was sold. It was then renovated and reopened in December 2013. Now, it is a popular pub that serves food and real ale, run by a company called Brunning and Price.
