Worton is a small community in Kent County, Maryland, United States. It is known as a census-designated place (CDP). A CDP is an area that looks like a town but isn't officially governed as one. As of the 2020 census, about 214 people lived there.
A historic site called the Christ Church, Graveyard and Sexton's House complex was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. This means it's an important place to protect because of its history.

Worton is found along Maryland Route 297. It is also where the Maryland and Delaware Railroad crosses. The community is about 4 miles north of Chestertown, Maryland. Chestertown is the main town and county seat of Kent County. Just north of Worton, you'll find another community called Butlertown, Maryland.
