Xavier T. Brunson is a very important leader in the United States Army. He holds the rank of General, which is one of the highest ranks in the military. Since December 20, 2024, he has been in charge of several major commands. These include the United Nations Command, the ROK/US Combined Forces Command, and the United States Forces Korea. Before these roles, he led the I Corps from 2021 to 2024.

General Xavier T. Brunson was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He grew up in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and went to Reid Ross High School. He started his military career in 1990 after graduating from college.

His Journey in the Army

General Brunson has had many important jobs throughout his career. He served as the commanding general of the 7th Infantry Division from 2019 to 2021. Before that, he was the chief of staff for the XVIII Airborne Corps from 2017 to 2019. He also served as a deputy commanding general for operations in the 10th Mountain Division.

General Brunson has been part of major military operations. He has received several awards for his bravery and leadership. These include the Army Distinguished Service Medal and the Legion of Merit.
