Yacoub Shaheen (born February 27, 1994) is a talented singer from Bethlehem, a city in the West Bank. He is known for winning the popular TV show Arab Idol in 2017. This show is watched by many people across the Arab World. Yacoub was the second singer from Palestine to win Arab Idol. The first was Mohammed Assaf, who won in 2013.

Yacoub Shaheen is very skilled at playing several musical instruments. These include the bozouk and the clarinet. He also plays other instruments that help keep the rhythm in music.
Early Steps in Music
In 2005, Yacoub took part in a Palestinian music program called Muhawm. This was one of his first steps into the music world. Later, in October 2013, he released his very first song. It was called "Human Spirit." Yacoub helped write this song with a lyricist named Elias Gres.
Winning Arab Idol
Yacoub's music career really took off after he won Arab Idol. This big win happened in 2017. After becoming the Arab Idol champion, he started performing at many concerts. He has sung at both Arab and international music festivals. During these performances, he is often joined by the Awtar Band. This band is led by the talented Maestro Yacoub Al-Atrash.
